Hi and thanks so much for stopping by my website!
We are just starting to get into the first glimpses of spring here in the Midwest….the birds are starting to chirp a lot every morning, building their nests and the grass is starting to look a little bit greener after the long and cold (but not super snowy) winter here. I am looking forward to warmer weather and getting back into shorts, and getting some time out in the sun!
It’s been a very busy past couple of months for me….working on a lot of what is called “Production Music,” which is simply music used as backgrounds in ads, TV shows, videos and even films. You can think of them as classified ads that are for music composers, with requests from different music supervisors and music libraries, who are looking for various pieces in a wide range of music genres. I have worked on about 15 pieces (composing and producing from scratch in my studio) and luckily have gotten 7 pieces that were forwarded on to the requesters. It’s a business that can require a lot of patience, as it can months or even years before any of the pieces might be used. But I am very happy and satisfied that so many pieces at least got forwarded on, that is huge! ;)
So now I am back to working on the next album….I am focusing very heavily on a very calming, relaxing and beautiful ambient album that can be used for meditation, yoga, tai chi, sleeping or simply relaxation. Making great progress on it, and the Production Music foray has really moved me into a place of rapid development and production. So I am hoping to have this next album done within a couple months, with an early summer release. I will keep you apprised of progress!
I am also working with a local friend of mine who is developing an online community for health, so we are collaborating on some new pieces for her site as well. I will share more information on this exciting development as things progress with her!
So that’s about it for now….Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful spring (or start of fall, depending on where in the world you live)!
Love and Peace to you,
Sharon
