Holidays 2016 Post

Happy Holidays to you once again!  I hope this letter finds you well this year….it’s been a year of growth and learning for me, as I had some health setbacks this year. I was diagnosed with an early stage breast cancer after Thanksgiving last year, and although it was an aggressive kind, it was caught early so my prognosis is very good.  After about 4 ½ months of chemo, a small surgery and then 7 weeks of radiation, I am doing well and only have about 5 more months of a targeted chemo to complete and then I will be done!

I am especially grateful to have all my hair back in time for Christmas!  And even though it’s a bit curlier and grayer, I am just grateful to actually be here :). It has been quite a journey (especially balancing that with dealing my Rheumatoid Arthritis on top of this!), but it’s been made all the easier by prayers, thoughts and help from so many of my family and friends everywhere, and the wonderful and compassionate nurses and doctors.  You all helped me so much to get through this, so I THANK YOU – I am truly blessed!

I am hoping to get back to writing and producing music more next year and definitely my health issues have made me think about what I am doing with my life and even what my music is all about…..I have started writing some new material based on thoughts of true healing and just life in general that keep floating into my head, so I hope to put out a new, meaningful album next year.

Like everyone, I can’t believe it's already the holidays again and even though they seem to come too fast and often, sometimes they help us see things in new ways. Maybe that’s the best thing about the holidays: it helps us to think back over the year and to have a newfound faith in ourselves, others and a Higher Being in a way that we don’t usually take time for during the year.  I wish you the happiest of holidays and the best of health, wealth and happiness in 2017!

Peace, Love and Joy to you always:),
