May 2018

I hope wherever you are in the world, that you are having a lovely spring (or fall, as the case may be!).  It's been a couple of busy months for me....I am still recuperating from a bad fall I had in early March (over at my health club, as ironic as that is, lol!) in which I ended up having multiple fractures in my shoulder and arm, so had a surgery to insert a plate and 9 pins in my arm and shoulder - yikes!  Needless to say, I haven't been able to play the piano since then, but the silver lining to all this is I discovered some great minimalist composers that I hadn't ever heard of like Ludovico Einaudi, so I've been listening to and studying much of his music over the past couple of months. Also, I've been just pure composing more directly into some of my music programs (instead of relying on my own noodling at the keyboard)....this has really helped me formulate my melodies and structures more....so see, there's almost always some kind of silver lining, if we can but see it :).

So hopefully over the next month or so, as I continue the physical therapy, I can actually get back to work in my studio and start working on some new pieces, based on what I've been actually composing straight from my heart and mind!

In any event, I hope you have a wonderful and joy-filled summer and catch you up on composing progress later this summer ;).

Love and Peace,
Sharon
