Greetings and thanks for stopping by my website, Dusty Dreams – Music for Life’s Journey, Music for the Soul!

Happy Holidays to you!  I hope this note finds you well this year….this year has felt like something out of a Lemony Snicket novel for me....a series of Fortunate and Unfortunate events (repeat as needed, lol!).  The first part of the year was busy working on music and some consulting projects when I had a serious fall at my health club (just walking and tripped, no kidding) and ended up breaking my left shoulder and arm in 4 places … so I ended up having to have surgery for that and about a 3 month recovery.  My sister, Ruth, was so gracious to come and live me with on and off for 3 months and helped me see the value in moving to a ranch home, so I sold my home in Woodridge in June (with tons of help from sister and family!) and proceeded to buy a lovely, much smaller new ranch home in Yorkville that I was able to move into in August.

After a couple months of living here, I foolishly tried to go down into my basement to get some Christmas lights, and inadvertently fell off the bottom landing and onto my right arm this time…so after being in denial for a couple days, went and had it X-rayed and found out that I had a much smaller break (so that’s Fortunate!) but it’s another few weeks of recovery for the right arm.  So I think I’ve learned my lesson about really taking it carefully now and realizing my poor old body, {after the years of RA (rheumatoid arthritis), chemo for breast cancer a couple years ago and just aging}, can’t take any more falls on concrete, lol!

Overall, though, my health is doing pretty well and I am very Fortunate for all the wonderful people in my life, my lovely new ranch home and the time to listen to music while I recoup again and think and review/critique/work on my own music that I am just starting to  get back to now.  The good thing is that I have been really focusing on my music and making some solid progress over the past so many months, so will hopefully be ready to release a new album this coming spring!  I will post some samples of the tracks as they start getting done over the next few weeks.

I wish you the happiest of holidays, and the best of health, wealth and happiness in 2019!

Peace, Love and Joy to you always,
Sharon
